Charles Miner Studio collection [graphic], circa 1900-2009.

The collection consists of eight photographs of Charles W. Miner's photographic studio at 121 W. Wayne Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. One photograph is a street scene of the studio and surrounding businesses; the other photographs are of interior shots of the studio. There are also two digital reproduction prints of a portrait of Leander P. Miner, ca. 1864, in his Civil War uniform.

Charles Winslow Miner was born in Columbia City, Indiana in1866. His parents were Simon P. and Melissa Miner. He learned photography in Columbia City under the apprenticeship of a Mr. Jones. He moved to Fort Wayne around 1887 and for a few years was employed by F. Shanz before starting his own business. He married Mary S. Criswell in 1905 and they had two daughters, Sarah and Mildred.
